Sweet 16 DJs for Staten Island

Grand entrance, sixteen candles, a packed floor — produced Island-style, minutes over the Outerbridge.

The Main Event

The Island throws Sweet 16s like weddings

Nobody has to explain a Sweet 16 to Staten Island. Two hundred guests, a court of friends in matching colors, a candle ceremony that gets Grandma crying and a dance floor that's expected to go off — it's a full production, and it deserves a DJ and MC team that treats it like one. Bello Entertainment produces high-energy Sweet 16s across the Island with one rule: the guest of honor is the headliner. Their song, their spotlight, their friends on the floor, and a soundtrack built from what they actually listen to.

We're based in Old Bridge, NJ, a few exits from the Outerbridge Crossing — so for families in Tottenville, Annadale, Eltingville and Great Kills we're closer than most of New Jersey, and the North Shore is an easy run over the Goethals. We bring the full NJ production across the bridge: DJ and MC, premium sound, intelligent lighting, cold sparks and CO₂ for the entrance, and the planning process that makes the night run itself. This page is the Staten Island edition of our Sweet 16 DJ service; for the rest of what we do on the Island, see our Staten Island DJ page.

Before the party we plan the whole arc with you and the birthday star — the entrance song, the candle order, the parent dance, the surprise moments. On the night, we run it like a show: interactive dance motivators, hype moments with their friends, and transitions timed so the room never goes flat.

How the Night Flows

The moments we produce

The grand entrance

The whole party takes its cue from the first two minutes. We build the entrance around the guest of honor — their song, a scripted MC intro, the room's lighting dropped and re-lit on the beat, and cold sparks or CO₂ if you want the full concert moment. Court entrances and friend-group walk-ins are choreographed the same way, and we rehearse the cue with the catering hall's maître d' so the doors open exactly on the drop.

The candle ceremony

Sixteen candles is the emotional center of a Staten Island Sweet 16 — and it's the moment most DJs wing. We plan it with you in advance: the order (family first, then friends, then the final candles), a song for each group, and MC lines that keep it moving without rushing it. Grandparents get their moment; so does the best friend since kindergarten. Music, lighting and timing are all handled on the night.

Teens on the floor, parents on the floor

The guest of honor builds the must-play list — it's their night, and we play what they actually listen to. Parents set the rules: clean versions are our default for Sweet 16s, and the do-not-play list is honored no matter who requests a song. Then the real craft: blending today's hits with the throwbacks, freestyle and classics that pull aunts, uncles and grandparents up too, with the volume dialed for conversation through dinner. We sequence the formalities early on purpose — the last ninety minutes belong to the dance floor.

Party effects that fit the room

Cold sparks for the entrance, CO₂ cannons for the drops, intelligent dance-floor lighting and the open-air photo booth are the most-requested on the Island. LED screens for a baby-photo montage are a favorite with parents. We check every effect against your venue's rules before we quote it, so there are no day-of surprises.

Quinceañera traditions welcome

Many Staten Island Sweet 16s blend quinceañera elements — a court entrance, the waltz, a surprise dance, Spanish-language favorites alongside the Top 40. We plan bilingual announcements for the key moments and build the set so both sides of the family hear their music.

Where We Play

Staten Island Sweet 16 venues & neighborhoods

The Island's catering halls were built for exactly this kind of night, and each one needs a different setup. We plan around venues like Grand Oaks Country Club in Huguenot, Nicotra's Ballroom at the Hilton Garden Inn in Bloomfield, the oceanfront ballroom at The Vanderbilt at South Beach, LiGreci's Staaten on Forest Avenue in West Brighton, the landmark mansion at Casa Belvedere on Grymes Hill and Richmond County Country Club in Dongan Hills — plus restaurant party rooms like Angelina's Ristorante in Tottenville, where we've already had three generations on one dance floor. Ballroom, country club, rooftop or backyard tent, we scale the sound and lighting to the space and coordinate load-in with your venue.

We DJ Sweet 16s across the whole Island: the South Shore — Tottenville, Annadale, Eltingville and Great Kills — is practically next door to our base; New Dorp and Todt Hill are a straight run up Hylan or Richmond Road; Bloomfield and West Brighton are minutes off the Goethals. Wherever the party is, we arrive early, set up before the first guest, and build any travel into your flat quote — no toll line items, no surprises.

Good to Know

Staten Island Sweet 16 questions, answered

How much does a Sweet 16 DJ cost in Staten Island?

Our Sweet 16 packages start at $1,250, the same starting point as our New Jersey parties — there's no Staten Island surcharge. Every quote is flat and tailored to your venue, guest count and vision, with any travel over the bridge already built in. Effects like cold sparks, CO₂ cannons and photo booths are added à la carte. See our packages or get the full pricing guide.

Do you travel to Staten Island from NJ?

Yes — constantly. We're based in Old Bridge, NJ, a few exits from the Outerbridge Crossing, so Tottenville, Annadale, Eltingville and Great Kills are a shorter drive for us than much of New Jersey. North Shore venues are an easy run over the Goethals. We arrive early and set up before the first guest, every time.

Is there a travel fee for Staten Island Sweet 16s?

No separate fee. Your quote is all-inclusive — any travel is built into the flat number up front, so there are no surprise line items for tolls or mileage.

Which Staten Island Sweet 16 venues do you work?

Any room on the Island. We plan around venues like Grand Oaks Country Club in Huguenot, Nicotra's Ballroom at the Hilton Garden Inn in Bloomfield, The Vanderbilt at South Beach, LiGreci's Staaten in West Brighton, Casa Belvedere on Grymes Hill, Richmond County Country Club in Dongan Hills and restaurant party rooms like Angelina's Ristorante in Tottenville — as well as backyard tents. Tell us your venue and we'll walk you through the setup.

Do you run the grand entrance and candle ceremony?

Yes — we produce both, not just announce them. The grand entrance gets custom intro music, a scripted MC introduction, lighting dropped and re-lit on the beat, and optional cold sparks or CO₂. For the candle ceremony we plan the order with you in advance, pick a song for each group and script the MC lines so it flows without rushing.

Can you keep both the teens and the parents happy?

That's the craft. The guest of honor builds the must-play list, clean versions are our default, and we blend today's hits with the throwbacks and classics that pull parents, aunts, uncles and grandparents onto the same floor — reading the room live as the night builds.

Do you DJ quinceañeras in Staten Island?

Yes — court entrances, the waltz, the surprise dance and bilingual announcements for the key moments. Many Staten Island Sweet 16s blend quinceañera traditions, and we plan the music so both sides of the family hear theirs.

How many hours does a Staten Island Sweet 16 need?

Every package includes four hours of coverage, which fits most catering-hall slots: arrival music, the grand entrance, dinner, the candle ceremony and parent dance, cake, and a long open dance floor to close. If your venue gives you a longer window, extra time is a flat add-on we quote up front.
